Shirley Ann Scamp Reidy

Shirley Ann Reidy, 73, of Thurber Street, Syracuse, New York, died Thursday, November 15, 2007 at University Hospital in Syracuse. Shirley was born July 31, 1934 in Bushnells Basin, New York, the daughter of Raymond and Adeline (Burlingham) Scamp. She was a 1952 graduate of Pittsford High School and a 1956 graduate of Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. She retired as an Art Teacher from Bear Road Elementary School. She was a member of the Rosary Society at St. Andrew The Apostle and she enjoyed her monthly luncheon with the neighborhood ladies. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, George Thomas Scamp. Shirley is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael J. Reidy; two daughters, Teresa (Roy) Sumfleth of Callicoon, New York and Elizabeth (James) Lambie of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; three sons, Sean Reidy of Washington, DC, Michael Reidy and James Reidy both of Syracuse, New York; four grandchildren, Kristina, Samantha, James "Jake" and Erin; one sister, Sally (Harold) Todd of Naples, New York and their children, Scott (Amy) Slager and Lisa (Eric) Ross; sister-in-law, Jean (brother, George Thomas Scamp, predeceased) Scamp of California and their children, Terry (Larry) Mallette, Amanda Scamp and Virginia Sandbrook; brother-in-law, William (Betty) Reidy and their children, William (Cheryl) Reidy of Rockville, Maryland, John (Martha) Reidy of Syracuse, New York and Tom (Delia) Reidy of Syracuse, New York; brother-in-law, James (Josephine, predeceased) Reidy and their children, James (Linda) Reidy, Kevin (Marge) Reidy, Colleen Reidy, Tim (Carol) Reidy, Sharon (David) Toth, Kathleen Reidy and Marybeth Reidy.
